Triple J brings a splash of color to Guam and Saipan!

As Triple J celebrates their 35th Anniversary, this year they will be hosting their 15th Annual Triple J Bubble Color Run/Walk and just hosted the 2nd Annual 5K in Saipan! With a total of 4,000 runners crossing the finish line last year in, and new additional 10K route in Guam, we just keep getting bigger and better every year!

Our beneficiaries for the Annual Triple J 5k Family Fun/Run/Walk:

Lupus Awareness Group of Guam - Their mission is to provide advocacy and identify the needs of persons with Lupus on Guam and to develop plans and implement strategies to meet those needs. Lupus is an acute and chronic (lifelong) autoimmune disease in which the immune system is unbalanced, causing inflammation and tissue damage to the skin, joints and or virtually every organ in the body. We have learned through our outreach that more and more people on our island are being diagnosed with Lupus. Many of the patients travel thousands of miles to seek medical treatment.

Guam Cancer Care - Every year, approximately 316 Guam residents are diagnosed with cancer.  Statistics have shown that they’ve been diagnosed at the later stages of cancer and that cancer accounts for nearly 1 in every 5 deaths.  That’s one person dying from cancer every 2 to 3 days here in our island*. Guam Cancer Care was created for the primary purpose of bridging the gaps in services that our local cancer patients face.  Their key objective is to provide direct services to cancer patients, with an immediate vision of helping save lives, one person at a time!

Boy Scouts of America Guam Chapter - Service above self is one of the many good traits that Scouts put in to practice in their daily lives. With all the issues our island youth are exposed to on a daily basis, it is more important than ever to increase Boy Scout activities and to attract even more boys to become Scouts. There are over 8 outreach units in Guam serving different locations. Their ultimate goal is to increase awareness and expand Scouting in our communities.

Pacific Mission Aviation – PMA is an evangelical, non-profit, multi-faceted mission organization which serves the islands of Micronesia and the Philippines. They are supported through gifts and donations by interested friends in the USA, Canada, Europe and the Philippines. PMA serves many surrounding islands in Micronesia from operational bases in Guam, Pohnpei, Yap, Palau and the Philippines.

Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association – Their mission is to work in partnership with the Guam Memorial Hospital Authority in rendering voluntary services to the hospital, patients, families and visitors and to engage in charitable fundraising activities, and the attainment of grants, donations, and bequests for the purpose of securing funds to be used for the improvement of quality health care at the GMHA.
