TRIPLE J TODAY
Triple J Enterprises has grown from a
one-man operation to a
sophisticated group of companies with roots throughout Micronesia.
In 1984, after working with Jones & Guerrero Inc. for 24 years,
Robert H. "Bob" Jones started his own company - a small
car dealership on Guam. "One of my most favorable memories
is when I signed the agreement with my brother Ken to buy the Subaru
franchise and started our own Triple J Enterprises 20 years ago,"
Robert H. Jones, president and chief executive of Triple J, says.
"We had a Triple J before then, but it was a small apartment
rental business. That's where my father got the name," says
Jeffrey B. Jones, vice president of Triple J, of the company named
for the first initials of his brother, sister, and himself. "We
started with Subaru vehicles, Hino trucks, and Bluebird buses,"
Jeff says. "There are a lot of products that we've added over
the last 20 years. It's pretty amazing."
Georgia J. Stafford helped her younger brother start his new company.
"We started it out together. He needed some assistance getting
it started, financially and maybe some advice." Stafford says
at times she worried about her brother. "I was concerned about
him spreading himself too thin, but it's worked out. He keeps seeing
opportunities he can't turn down and so far it's been very good
for him. I think my brother has done a wonderful job."
In fact, the small car dealership has grown to become one of the
most successful corporations in Micronesia, with projected revenues
expected to reach over $100 million groupwide this year. As a stockholder,
Stafford says of Triple J, "It's been a very nice investment.
I'm very satisfied, very happy with the steady growth we've exprienced
through the years." With offices and companies located in Guam,
Saipan, the Marshall Islands, Palau, and San Francisco, Triple J
Enterprises has earned a global reputation for customer satisfaction
and quality products that is unsurpassed.
